MuseTrek – facilitating a unique combination of institutional partners’ information, user-generated stories, and social sharing features – creates a cultural home to which people return and look for exciting, surprising, or personally engaging cultural activities.


MuseTrek enables people to experience, create, and share multimedia tours online through a cultural and social network and onsite via their own mobile phones.


Tours, or as we call them "Treks," string together cultural items housed in venues around the world and are generated by experts and enthusiasts alike. The curator-created multimedia guide becomes more personal and widely available to visitors on their own handheld devices. When visitors create their own stories and access treks imagined by others, they engage with contemporary conversations around our cultural heritage. Effectively, this enables each visit to the museum to be a unique and novel experience, even if the exhibits themselves remain unchanged. MuseTrek continues to work with leading institutions and innovators around the globe as it build out its transformative technology and services.
